Brauer & Associates, Ltd. has worked with clients and professionals in the development industry to incorporate a broad mixture of design elements into the development projects. The development projects have allowed Brauer & Associates, Ltd. to work with the developer and governing agency from the start to create or enhance the character of a new development, and even set the design standards within a particular area of the community. A major advantage of this is that some of the same techniques used in conservation development practices can be included to protect sensitive areas, preserve open space, and create greenways, trail systems, and park and recreational areas, both publicly and privately owned. Sometimes specialized design opportunities arise, such as the design of sensory gardens for memory care facilities.

In many instances, Brauer’s involvement between the developer and the local governing agency ensures that the types of amenities and recreational spaces that are consistent and desired by the governing agency and codes are incorporated to gain support for the development project, and also enhances the development for a more successful project for the developer.
