Project Overview:

This interesting project involves converting a construction landfill into a useful public amenity with direct access to the Mississippi River.  The master planning phase of the project began in 2000 with final adjustments made in 2006.

Currently the project is in phase 1, which involves earthwork capping of the site.  Project will likely be developed in a number of phases as funding becomes available.
