Jason Amberg, Vice President, Principal
Jason Amberg has been with the firm for nearly fifteen years and in that time has established himself as an expert in the field of park, natural resource, trail, and public space planning and design. Through his experience working with municipal staffs, park boards, and public groups, he has developed a capacity for arriving at design solutions that meet the goals of the project while respecting the divergent input of stakeholders. Jason is particularly astute at managing projects from the design phase through construction and observation phases, including facilitating the necessary meetings throughout the project; which may mean a one-on-one meeting with the client or addressing a large group of individuals. His responsibilities routinely include project management, site analysis, planning and design, construction document preparation, and construction administration/observation. Jason is also an active member of the North Dakota State University Landscape Architecture Advisory Board, where he serves as a link between the academic department and the growing profession of Landscape Architecture. Over the years Jason has gained a reputation as being very imaginative and detail oriented in preparing graphics and drawings that clearly articulate design intent, character, and technical requirements. His hand and computer-aided drawings make even the most complex designs easy to understand by professionals and lay-persons alike. Jason is well suited to meet the challenges of this project. Jason also takes on the responsibility of managing the firm’s computer and technological resources. This involves research, selection, setup, maintenance and oversight of the computer systems and software packages within the office. He is proficient with a wide variety of software programs, including desktop publishing, word processors, spreadsheets, 3d modeling, Cadd, virtual reality rendering, etc. |
