Project Overview:

Lebanon Hills is a 2600 acre regional park located in Eagan, Minnesota.  The purpose of this major regional park is to protect natural resource areas that are significant in terms of varied land forms, lakes, streams, marshes, flora and fauna, as well as provide for the outdoor recreation enjoyment of the public and to heighten their appreciation of the natural environment.  The park is successful in preserving one of the major landscape types in the Metropolitan area.  Recreation amenities in the park include a new visitor center; an extensive network of nature, cross-county skiing, horseback, and snowshoeing trails; picnic facilities; campgrounds; trail-heads; children’s play area; boating, and swimming.  Environmental education, wildlife observation, and fishing opportunities are also provided within the park limits.

The master plan was completed in 2001 and the construction of visitors center was  completed in 2003. Trail system development is continuing on a yearly basis.
