Project Overview:

The City of Rosemount acquired approximately 40 acres of land to develop a new athletic complex to help alleviate the pressure of its existing sports facilities due to a large growth in population.  The site has a number of challenging aspects including extreme elevation changes, limited site accessibility, and a major utility easement running along the east side of the site.  Although there are a number of challenging elements to this project they will also make this park and the field layouts very unique.  Components that are included in the master plan are; one full size baseball field, two youth baseball fields, four multipurpose ball fields, four multipurpose greens, two children’s play areas,  parking to accommodate approximately 520 vehicles, a number of linking trails, two concession/restroom buildings, and two maintenance facilities.  A series of storm water ponds and enhanced landscaping are also included in the overall master plan.

The master plan is scheduled to be approved by the City Council in February of 2008 with construction starting in the summer.
