Project Overview:

The City of Maplewood was left with a piece of property from a developer that consisted primarily of existing wetlands and a number of proposed stormwater ponds.  Not wanting to turn their backs on this piece of property, the City commissioned Brauer to come up with a unique design to bring park users to this space.  The design process resulted in a sculpture garden, an extensive trail and boardwalk system, native/ecological restoration, and a formal focal point overlooking a scenic water feature created with stormwater.  The project received a great deal of interest from the local metropolitan community and artists from around the country.  The project was constructed in 2005.
