As stated in the new National Park, Recreation, Open Space, and Greenway Guidelines, athletic complexes play a vital role in any park system in that they consolidate heavily programmed athletic facilities at larger and fewer sites that are strategically located throughout a community. This allows for: economies of scale and higher quality; improved management and scheduling; and less reliance on neighborhood and community parks for programmed athletics (resulting in less overuse of facilities by those from outside the neighborhood and less noise, traffic, and parking in residential areas). The Brauer team brings this understanding to each of the projects we undertake.
